Multi-agency working is central to the ethos of service provision at YMCA Lofthouse for both the benefit of the service users and also for future sustainability. We currently work in close partnership with local collages who deliver adult community courses from the centre. The centre is also a shared space with Lancashire County Council and is also frequently used for multi-agency meetings across a variety of education, housing, police and social welfare services.
YMCA Lofthouse now operates a Boxing Club from within the centre. The multi-award winning club operates on a number of evenings per week and offers a place for young people aged between 8 and 18 to engage in positive and diversionary activities, guiding them into becoming responsible citizens. The club provides an extensive range of activities within a safe, warm and affordable venue for young people.
