Blackpool 10k Fun Run

It’s time to dig out those running trainers again as Blackpool’s annual Beaverbrooks 10k Fun Run returns this May. The Trinity Hospice are celebrating their 30th year this year and are hoping for an even bigger turn out than in previous years.

The Fun Run will take place on 10th May 2015. It’s a must in anyone’s diary and is for all abilities from serious runners to those who just want to have a bit of fun with a group of friends.

Saturday 16th May is definitely a date for the diary. YMCA Lytham are hosting a Family Fun Day to bring the whole community together with a variety of fun and exciting activities and displays.

Cycling to National Success

A fundraising cycle ride by young people and youth workers from Lancaster district has won a national award.

The Lancaster Youth Challenge (LYC), a sports and arts programme delivered by YMCA Fylde Coast in partnership with Marsh Community Centre, The Dukes Theatre Lancaster, and the national cycle charity CTC, received the Sportivate (Sport England) Project of the Year Award. The programme currently operates out of YMCA Lancaster building  which is  both operated by YMCA Fylde Coast.
