YMCA Lytham – Family Fun Day

Saturday 16th May is definitely a date for the diary. YMCA Lytham are hosting a Family Fun Day to bring the whole community together with a variety of fun and exciting activities and displays.

Activities on the day:

There will be a host of activities on the day to keep everyone entertained, including:

Bouncy Castles, BMX Bikes, Beat the Keeper, Face Painting, Bootcamp/Assault Course, Tug of War, 5 a side Football, Dinosaur World, Stalls, Arts and Crafts, Childrens Races, Dunk a Staff Member and much more…

Cycling to National Success

A fundraising cycle ride by young people and youth workers from Lancaster district has won a national award.

The Lancaster Youth Challenge (LYC), a sports and arts programme delivered by YMCA Fylde Coast in partnership with Marsh Community Centre, The Dukes Theatre Lancaster, and the national cycle charity CTC, received the Sportivate (Sport England) Project of the Year Award. The programme currently operates out of YMCA Lancaster building  which is  both operated by YMCA Fylde Coast.

For young people facing life on the street or spent moving from sofa to sofa, a place in supported accommodation is a valuable lifeline and chance to get themselves back on track, however for many, this move can end in frustration as growing housing pressures leave them trapped and unable to return to independent living.
