YMCA Lofthouse

YMCA Lofthouse is situated on London Street in Fleetwood. The centre was opened in 2004 with the purpose of offering a range of community facilities and activities to enhance the opportunities available for local people.

YMCA Lofthouse was built at a cost £2.6m and was funded through a diverse range of external funding streams including a Single Regeneration Budget, Objective 2 funds and the Community Lottery Fund. The centre is utilised many YMCA Housing residents who access the facility and projects as part of their moving on-programmes.

The building is on three levels and includes office space used by both YMCA and partner agency staff, an IT suite with access to a large number of PCs, which are available for individual or block booking use.  In addition there are 2 meeting rooms, a recording studio, an arts and crafts/meeting room and a small dance/activity studio. Facilities at YMCA Lofthouse are available for hire. If you would like more information and to make an enquiry, please visit and complete our hire enquiry form here.

Multi-agency working is central to the ethos of service provision at YMCA Lofthouse for both the benefit of the service users and also for future sustainability. We currently work in close partnership with local collages who deliver adult community courses from the centre. The centre is also a shared space with Lancashire County Council and is also frequently used for multi-agency meetings across a variety of education, housing, police and social welfare services.
